The Perfect Friend by Barbara Copperthwaite #BlogTour #Review

I am super excited to share my 5 star review for The Perfect Friend by Barbara Copperthwaite on Blog Tour today which is out now

The Book

She’ll do anything for you…

My name is Alex, and my world has been shattered.
My husband has left me.
My children won’t speak to me.
My friend Carrie is the only person I have.
She’s the only one I can trust to keep all my secrets.
She’d never do anything to let me down.
Would she?

This dark, gripping psychological thriller will have you holding your breath until the very last page. Fans of Behind Closed Doors, Sometimes I Lie, and The Girl on the Train will be captivated.

My Thoughts

I am massive fan of Barbara Copperthwaite and I have loved each and everyone of her books. Not only is she an excellent writer I always love the fact that Barbara always brings us something totally different so I couldn't wait to get stuck into The Perfect Friend to find out what was in store this time. First of all I was taken back to find that this story is wrote in first person, which I am not normally a fan of. So there I am already thinking I am going to like this then before I knew it I had devoured half of the book....it is utterly addictive and I flipping loved it.

Talk about grabbing you from the start I got so wrapped up in this story I just wanted to know more  The Perfect Friend tells a story about secrets, lies and manipulation between two friends which alternates between now and then. The more I read the more didn't know who was telling the truth.

Don't get me started on the OMG moments, it is certainly full of twists and turns that I was wasn't expecting. Without giving to much away, has the story unfolds and it becomes clear where it is going, well I thought it become clear then I was like OMG as if...that's so bad who would do such a thing! so you need to read it yourself to understand what I am talking about.

This is one of those stories that will totally get under your skin and blow your mind. I cannot begin to tell you the emotions I went through reading this. Talk about keeping me on the edge of my seat. This is one very clever story with subject matters which the author has clearly done her research is is shown throughout the story. What more can I say but Barbara has absolutely smashed it.

This is a must read for psychological thriller fans which I cannot recommend enough giving it all the freaking stars.

Author Bio:

Barbara is the Amazon and USA Today bestselling author of psychological thrillers INVISIBLE, FLOWERS FOR THE DEAD, THE DARKEST LIES, and HER LAST SECRET. Her latest book is THE PERFECT FRIEND.

More importantly, she loves cakes, wildlife photography and, last but definitely not least, her two dogs, Scamp and Buddy (who force her to throw tennis balls for them for hours).

Having spent over twenty years as a national newspaper and magazine journalist, Barbara has interviewed the real victims of crime - and also those who have carried those crimes out. She is fascinated by creating realistic, complex characters, and taking them apart before the readers' eyes in order to discover just how much it takes to push a person over a line.

When not writing feverishly, she is often found hiding behind a camera, taking wildlife photographs.
