In For The Kill by Ed James #BlogTour

I am super excited to share my 5 star review for In For the Kill by Ed James on Blog Tour today which is out on the 19th April

The Book

A university student is found strangled to death in her bedroom, but when the embattled DI Simon Fenchurch is called in to investigate, the case strikes dangerously close to home.
On the surface, the victim was a popular, high-performing student. But as secret grudges against her emerge, so too does evidence that she was living a double life, working on explicit webcam sites for a seedy London ganglord. Everyone Fenchurch talks to knows a lot more than they’re willing to tell, and before long he’s making new enemies of his own—threatening to push him and his family past breaking point.

With too many suspects and not enough facts, Fenchurch knows his new superiors are just waiting for him to fail—they want him off the case, and off the force for good. His family is in more danger than ever before. So how deep is he willing to dig in order to unearth the truth?

My Thoughts

In For The Kill is the book 4 in the DI Fenchurch series and it is actually the second book that I have read in the series. After reading The Hope That Kills and loving it, I jumped at the chance to take part in this tour.

Those of you that follow my reviews will know that I am not a massive fan of  detective series and it really has to get under my skin to fall in love with one and this is definitely one of those!

The Hope That Kills had me hook line and sinker grabbing me from the very first page and kept me there all afternoon I simply couldn't put it down. After reading the first one then jumping straight on to this one. I do feel like I have missed out on some of story line with Fenchurch's personal life. So I would say it is best to read them in order. I am itching to go back and read what happened in between.

Although having said that I wasn't disappointed because the author gives us plenty of police procedure with the case that we follow. I love how the author weaves the case in with the characters going-on in there own life.Giving the reader a mixture of things to think about and get involved with.

I simply love Fenchurch he  is one of those characters that jumps out the page at me. I feel like he is a real person and someone you can relate to.There is nothing not to like about him.

I have said this once and will say it again that the whole time I was reading this I could visualize it being on TV. I loved the author's style of writing. It is certainly a fast paced, easy read. I cannot wait to read what is in store next for Fenchurch after that ending!

This is a must read detective series which I highly recommend giving it all the stars.

Massive thank you to Anne Cater for inviting me to take part in this fab tour.
