Summer by the Sea by Jenny Hale
Summer by the Sea by Jenny Hale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
First of all I have to say that this story was an audio version that I have listened to rather than read. And I am not familiar with Jenny Hale's writing. So after getting my head round the american accent of the narrator I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story and it was nice to listen to something fluffy and on the lighter side rather than my usual genre.
In this story we meet Faith who has agreed to a family holiday at the request of her Grandmother. Where Faith is taken back to the beach house that she fell in love with has a teenager- only for her sister Casey to steal her man! So after not seeing her sister for years. But wiling to forgive her and move on, she isn't ready to meet the owner of the beach house Jake Bucanhan
Having listened to this during the summer months and this story transporting me to the beach with the beautiful and stunning descriptions. I actually felt like I was at the beach house with them.
The narrator has told this story has beautiful has it was written, and The deeper the story went on the more I found myself listening to it. And desperately wanting to know what was going to happen.
This is a story about relationships, family and most importantly letting go of the past and moving on. Which I highly recommend giving it 4 stars. And I will certainly be on the look out for more books by this author.
Thank you to Kim Nash at Bookouture for giving me the chance to listen to this in exchange for an honest review.
