Today I am one of three stops for Sleep Tight by Caroline Mitchell which is out now you can grab your copy on the link below.

The Book
SLEEP TIGHT by Caroline Mitchell
Close your eyes … Just pray you don’t wake up.
A killer stalks the streets of East London. All over the area, murdered young women are discovered, their bodies posed into a sickening recreation of fairytale princesses.
Detective Ruby Preston is determined to hunt down a disturbed individual who is using the women to realise their twisted fantasies. But when body parts are found at the home of her lover, Nathan Crosby, Ruby is torn between her job and her heart.
Convinced that he is being framed, Ruby must catch the killer before Nathan becomes the number one suspect. But as more victims are found, it becomes harder to prove his innocence.
Ruby is in too deep, knowing that the cruel individual is getting ever closer, looking for his next beautiful victim. But can she stop a killer hell-bent on fulfilling their horrific desires – before it’s too late? And how well does she really know the man she loves?
A terrifying, addictive serial killer thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, for readers of Angela Marsons, Peter James and Rachel Abbott.

My Thoughts
Just when I thought Caroline Mitchell writing couldn't get any better with Love You To Death which was my favourite book that I read last year. She totally nails it with Sleep Tight and pulls out all the punches. OMFG what a book and what a series!

The story starts off with one gritty prologue then we follow Detective Ruby Preston on one twisted roller coaster ride on the hunt for a warped minded killer who stalks the streets of London and leaving the victims dressed up as fairy tale princess.  Put someone is trying to frame bad boy hottie Nathan with body parts planted under his bed. Ruby has totally got her work cut out trying to catch the killer before Nathan becomes the number one suspect. Leaving Ruby torn between her job and her lover.

Wow, Wow, Wow I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next in this nail biting story. I cannot tell you how much I love this series. Ruby is one kick ass detective who lives life on the edge and doesn't always do things by the book. For a start her lover Nathan isn't always on the right side of the law and Ruby knows it. Which makes this series unique.

Caroline's experience is shown throughout the whole of this story with the police procedure side of things. I actually felt like I was right there in the story. And like Love Me Death there is plenty of twisted and brutal murder scenes which totally turned my stomach and made me cringe.

Sleep Tight ticked all the boxes for me I cannot recommend it enough giving me a book hangover. Roll on the third book in  the series.

If you're looking for a fast paced gritty story this is certainly the book for you. And without a doubt gets all the stars from me.

Sweetpea by C.J. Skuse

SweetpeaSweetpea by C.J. Skuse
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by C.J. Skuse and certainly won't be my last. A psychopath with an hilarious sense of humor...absolutely priceless. I have read some books in my time but nothing quite like this, it is hilarious I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Rihanna is a psychopath and tells a twisted, shameless outrageous story written in diary entries. With an opening of her kill list. Rihanna is a normal average woman which people can relate to. I certainly could I freaking loved her crude, witty, sarcastic sense of humor, she’s totally on my wavelength. I will say this book isn't for readers that are easily offended.

The Murder scenes are very brutal and twisted and not for the faint hearted but are told in a way that made me laugh.Yes laughing at a murder…. OMFG what is going on...seriously you won't believe it until you read it yourself.

And the ending...I was like OMG has my kindle broke...cannot wait for the follow on. Sweetpea has gave me book hangover that for sure.

This is one unique refreshing read that had me laughing from start to end. I must say it isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. But I bloody loved it. All the stars from me.

Lie To Me By Jess Ryder #BlogTour

I am so excited to to be kicking off Lie To Me by Jess Ryder Blog Tour, which is out today. Grab your copy on the link below for just 99p

The Book

Lie To Me
How can you tell the truth... if all you've ever known is a lie?

Three minutes. That’s all it takes for Meredith’s entire world to fall apart when she watches the videotape of her four-year-old self with Becca, the mother who abandoned her.

Meredith can’t believe what her eyes have seen. Yet what if her memory has locked away the painful reality of her childhood? Can there be any truth in the strange and dangerous story her mother forced her to tell on camera?

The search for answers leads Meredith to Darkwater Pool, the scene of the murder of a young woman, Cara, over 30 years ago. What could possibly be the link between her mother and the victim?

To find the truth Meredith must search through a past that is not her own. The problem is, she’s not the only one looking…

A dark, compulsive psychological thriller that will keep you up all night. Perfect for fans of Paula Hawkins and Louise Jensen.

My Thoughts

OMG this book is so damn good! I am a massive fan of psychological thrillers and Lie To Me is what a psychological thriller is all about. With the author grabbing your attention from the first page and weaving one intriguing story that will have you hooked until the very last page. And to think this is a debut novel. This is one incredible story which totally blew me away.

Lie To me tells a story about Meredith who finds a videotape while cleaning hers father’s attic. She can’t believe her eyes when she watches the it. showing her four-year-old self with her mother who abandoned her. Meredith wants to know the truth of a dangerous story her mother was forced her to tell on camera. The search for answers leads Meredith to Darkwater Pool where of the murder of a young woman happened over 30 years ago. What could possibly be the link between her mother and the victim?

The story alternates between Meredith, Jay and Cara’s perspectives. With two timelines, one in the present and the other set in 1984.Not forgetting the fact that Birmingham sets the scene for some of the story-line with it being local to me. I love that and each chapter leaves you wanting more.

There are characters in this story that you will love, like or hate and they are all very well developed. I even found myself shouting at characters saying OMG what are doing! Then the author got me swearing with the twists and turns that I didn't see coming, that is the effect this story did to me.

Do be warned this is one of those books that you won't get anything done until you have finished it, I honestly couldn't put this down. I lost track of how many times my kindle came with me just to a make a cup of tea, so I could read at the same time. Just one more chapter I kept telling myself, then before I knew it I had devoured it in one day.

This is without a doubt the best Psychological thriller I have read this year.

If you are looking for a fast paced engaging read this is the book for which I highly recommend giving it 5 massive stars.

Game Point by Malcolm Hollingdrake #BlogTour

I am delighted to share with you my 5 star review on blog tour today
The Book
DCI Bennett faces the most harrowing case of his career. A psychopath, who escaped capture, is hell bent on revenge and executes a series of events that will not only impact on Bennett physically, but will have emotional and professional consequences.
A body is found with its fingers amputated, then an investigative journalist, embroiled in the pornography and drugs scene, is murdered.
Bennett’s team is faced with some baffling evidence. Hatpins and bicycle spokes become pivotal to the inquiry but the police struggle to connect the evidence.
It is only when a Detective Sergeant from the team is kidnapped that Bennett realises that he is the true target.
Can Bennett solve the case before it’s too late? How many people will he lose in the process?

My Thoughts

I was only saying the other day that this series gets better and better each one that I read. Then I read Game Point which is the fourth novel in the DCI Bennett series. Wowsers this series just got even more better. With the author has taking it to a whole new level.

Malcolm certainly knows how to write one tense and gripping story. I was hooked from the very first page and devoured this in a matter of hours. The story starts of in May 2017 then we go back to June 2016. Where DCI Bennett finds himself on a his most harrowing case yet. With a twisted psychopath on the loose and one of his team being kidnapped.

OMG what a story this is without a doubt the best one yet taking you on one hell of a roller coaster ride. Malcolm’s writing skills are very well crafted. From beautiful descriptions to dark and graphic ones. He certainly knows how to set the scene making this one gripping page turner.

We are getting to know Cyril and Owen has characters they are really coming to life now and they make a brilliant team. I cannot wait for the fifth book in this series.

This is a must read for crime fans which I cannot recommend enough giving it 5 massive stars.

You could say that the writing was clearly written on the wall for anyone born in a library that they might aspire to be an author but to get to that point Malcolm Hollingdrake has travelled a circuitous route.

Malcolm worked in education for many years, even teaching for a period in Cairo before he started writing, a challenge he had longed to tackle for more years than he cares to remember.

Malcolm has written a number of successful short stories and has four books now available. Presently he is concentrating on a series of crime novels set in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Born in Bradford and spending three years in Ripon, Malcolm has never lost his love for his home county, a passion that is reflected in the settings for all three novels.

Malcolm has enjoyed many hobbies including collecting works by Northern artists; the art auctions offer a degree of excitement when both buying and certainly when selling. It’s a hobby he has bestowed on DCI Cyril Bennett, the main character in his latest novel.

DCI Cyril Bennett series by Malcolm Hollingdrake

The Books

Only The Dead (DCI Cyril Bennett #1) 4 stars

Meet DCI Cyril Bennett, a man with a passion for manners and efficiency, as well as an eye for the ladies. His partner, DS David Owen, is naΓ―ve and untidy but keen. Together they make a formidable pair.
When the discovery of two infants’ bodies is made at a Teacher Training College, Bennett and Owen are given the case. Soon a number of suspects are identified.
At the same time, a killer is on the loose staging attacks using sulphur mustard.
Is there a link between the infants’ bodies and the sulphur mustard attacks?
Do the answers lie in the past or the present?
Bennett and Owen must work together to bring to justice a killer with revenge on his mind.

Hell's Gate (DCI Cyril Bennett #2) 4.5 stars

A disused railway tunnel where, cruel and sinister deeds are executed.
A policeman on a mission.
A killer who will stop at nothing.
The formidable DCI Cyril Bennett and DS David Owen of Harrogate Police find themselves embroiled in a series of bizarre events.
A domestic dog attack on a child soon leads to a more complex case - the macabre discovery of a jigsaw of featureless, indiscernible body parts amongst bin bags littering a quiet road on the outskirts of the town.
While under the leadership of a Chinese Mafioso, a team of Eastern Europeans spreads its tentacles into the sordid underworld of people trafficking, dog fighting, prostitution and murder.
Bennett quickly has his hands full investigating a gambling syndicate, the discovery of a mutilated corpse, the death of a prostitute and the case of a badly beaten police officer.
As Bennett and his team are stretched to capacity cracks begin to appear.
Is there a link between these cases and can they catch a twisted killer before he strikes again?

Flesh Evidence (DCI Cyril Bennett #3) 5 stars

An explosive, edge of your seat, crime thriller
In Harrogate things are about to get weird.
Jars of honey containing pieces of tattooed flesh are the first clue in the search for the whereabouts of a missing fourteen-year-old boy. Then another boy goes missing and further jars of honey are discovered.
Serial kidnappings taking place in Harrogate and the culprit is unlike any other Bennett has dealt with before.
A number of leads seem to be going nowhere and the police are running out of time.
Can Bennett and his team catch a psychopath before any more damage is done?
This will be his toughest case yet.
My thoughts
This is a  series that has been sitting on my kindle for far too long and wish that I had read them sooner. But after reading Only The Dead I went straight onto the next book in the series and have back to back. So I thought it would be easier to write one review for the first three books.

First of all I have to say…..those covers, wow I just love them. It was actually the covers that drew me to buy the books. And now that I have read them OMG what a series! With each book getting better and better and this shows throughout each book.

Set in Harrogate we meet DCI Bennett and DS Owen totally different to each other but they make a good likable team and we see their characters grow and learn more about them has the series.

Starting with Only The Dead the author’s writing is very descriptive and paints a beautiful picture, creating a steady paced following story. But by the second book the author has stepped up his game and gives us a gritty gripping story with graphic descriptions...Hell yes this series is definitely going places. Now Flesh Evidence is without a doubt my favourite of the three. Where I feel the author has found his writing style and written one gritty dark and twisted page turning read.

The author certainly knows how to write one intriguing plot that is very well researched, that will have the reader hooked from start to finish. These books do well well on there own but this is a series not to be missed. They are without a doubt a must read for all you crime fans.

LAST BREATH by Robert Bryndza #BlogTour

I am delighted to share with you my 5 star review on blog tour today

LAST BREATH by Robert Bryndza

He’s your perfect date. You’re his next victim.

When the tortured body of a young woman is found in a dumpster, her eyes swollen shut and her clothes soaked with blood, Detective Erika Foster is one of the first at the crime scene. The trouble is, this time, it’s not her case.

While she fights to secure her place on the investigation team, Erika can’t help but get involved and quickly finds a link to the unsolved murder of a woman four months earlier. Dumped in a similar location, both women have identical wounds – a fatal incision to their femoral artery.

Stalking his victims online, the killer is preying on young pretty women using a fake identity. How will Erika catch a murderer who doesn’t seem to exist?

Then another girl is abducted while waiting for a date. Erika and her team must get to her before she becomes another dead victim, and, come face to face with a terrifyingly sadistic individual.

Gripping, tense and impossible to put down, Last Breath will have you on the edge of your seat, racing to the final dramatic page.

My Thoughts

OMG,OMG,OMG Robert has smashed it once again! Just over a year ago I read The Girl In The Ice and I knew then that he was going to be a smash hit. I have loved every Erika Foster novel that Robert has wrote. Just when I think there is no way his books can get any better, Robert just proves me wrong. These books just go from strength to strength. I keep saying OMG this is the best one yet but seriously this one really is. From the story line to the style of writing Last Breath has certainly took my breath away, this book is phenomenal!

With one gritty prologue that leaves you wanting more once a again we are taken on a roller coaster ride. Last Breath tells a story of a young woman who is found brutally tortured. When I say brutally I mean brutally! My god the autopsy descriptions made me cringe totally turning my stomach

Detective Erika Foster is one of the first at the crime scene and it's not her case. Dumped in a similar location, both women have identical wounds – a fatal incision to their femoral artery.

One thing I loved about this story is the fact that we know who the killer is and it’s just a matter of time before the police find out who it is. Which makes a change from guessing who it is.

This certainly isn't for the faint hearted the killer is one twisted individual who stalks his victims online totally putting any of you readers off online dating LOL

Last Breath is one epic, gripping, page turner must read which I highly recommend giving it 5 massive gold  stars.

COVER REVEAL FOR K.A.RICHARDSON

Can you imagine my excitement when I was asked to do a cover reveal for K.A. Richardson latest book in the North East Police series. Now I am now super excited to share it with you guys and you are seriously going to love it...I certainly do!

Get to know the author

My name is Kerry-Ann Richardson (generally known as Kerry) and I write as KA Richardson. I started writing the North East Police series in 2010 when I was working towards my MA Creative Writing – I used the first 15000 words of With Deadly Intent as my dissertation. I passed my MA in 2011 and kept on writing. This all came about from working as a Crime Scene Investigator – I’d always written but when I was a CSI I went to see a psychic, Anthony, and he wanted to know why I wasn’t writing. He reminded me that it was my passion and said he could see me signing in Waterstones in 5 years. That was 5.5 years before my first ever signing in Waterstones so he wasn’t far wrong!

I did the normal things writers do when their book is ready to go out into the world – submitted to agents etc. I got a few nice personal responses back – still saying no but being constructive and polite about it. I approached Darren Laws from Caffeine Nights whilst at a crime festival and he asked to see my work. He agreed to publish With Deadly Intent from there, and once that was out I approached Bloodhound Books as wanted to know if there was any other interest in my novels. Bloodhound came back within 24 hours and offered me a 3 book deal!  And I’ve since signed an additional 3 book deal with them which covers the series up to and including book 7!

Kevin has seen it all in his years on the force, but when a young girl is found burnt to dead, even he is shocked.
